Halloween STEM Challenge Overview
The Marble Cauldron Challenge requires students to design and build a structure capable of holding a cauldron (a small Dixie cup) full of marbles. The goal? Construct a hanger for the cauldron using the provided materials, and see which team can design the strongest structure that holds the most marbles without collapsing.
STEM Skills:
Engineering Design Process: By following steps like Ask, Plan, Create, and Improve, students learn how real engineers solve problems.
Physics: Students will explore balance, tension, and forces as they create their structures.
