Tacky the Penguin in Disguise Read Aloud STEAM Activity

Tacky the Penguin in Disguise Read Aloud STEAM Activity

Create a Penguin Disguise with this Winter STEAM Activity and Unique Writing Activity!

Students draw a Penguin and create a Penguin disguise for it! After they have completed their Penguin Disguise, students learn about what it means to be unique. Using a writing worksheet, students write out what makes them unique.

An excellent companion activity to the Thanksgiving read aloud book Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester.

Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas using the STEAM Process. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.

Aligns with NGSS and Common Core.
