What Teachers are Saying About this Winter STEM Resource!

"Although this says 1st-4th grade I used this as an activity with my 5th graders at our Winter Themed Party we had the day before we went off on break. I wanted to do something fun and engaging as well as STEM based. My 5th graders loved it. We were still having races 10 minutes after the dismissal bell rang. My students got extremely creative with it and honestly learned some great things about friction! Thank you!" - Shannon T.

"I modified this activity for a 7th grade enrichment class to help students build upon their teamwork skills. I also repeated the activity a couple times and allowed the students to provide each other with feedback and make revisions between designs. The activity had easy set up and monitoring. It was also really fun! I would definitely recommend this activity." - Andrea L.

"My students loved this activity. We are in Alaska and it helped them understand how much hard work goes into actually making a sled. Thank you!"

"Our gifted K students loved this activity!" - Linda Z.

"Another great activity we used during our Olympic study. The students loved testing out their sleds and then made changes as needed." - Kristen H.

"Great resource! This challenge was engaging and thoroughly enjoyed by my third graders!"
